AMMAN— On Thursday, the Jordan Hashemite
Charity Organization (JHCO) launched a campaign aimed at supporting university
students from Gaza who are studying in Jordan. This initiative was undertaken
in cooperation with a group of content creators, opening the door to receive
cash donations from around the world.
In a statement, JHCO noted that the campaign
aims to collect cash donations to alleviate the burden of accumulated
university fees for students from the Gaza Strip, caused by the circumstances
resulting from Israel’s war on the territory, Al-Ghad reported.
The statement also highlighted the
pre-registration process for students from the Gaza Strip. The campaign is
expected to benefit around 200 students, both male and female, who are
continuing their studies within Jordan. These students are facing financial
difficulties due to the impact of the war.
Furthermore, the Secretary-General of JHCO,
Hussein Al-Shibli emphasized, "We have prioritized the future of students
from the Gaza Strip, understanding the importance of completing their
educational journey. The Israeli aggression has significantly affected the
economic conditions of our people in Gaza, creating obstacles for students in
Jordan and making it challenging for them to pay their university fees to
continue their studies. This prompted us to launch this campaign, aiming to
reach the largest possible number of students within Jordan and extend a
helping hand to support their academic journey."
