AMMAN —
Secretary-General of the Ministry of Education Administrative and Financial Affairs Najwa Al-Qubeilat said on Tuesday that a tender has been issued for
maintenance work to be carried out in 600 schools, Al-Mamlaka TV reported.
Qubeilat said that the total bids amounted to JD11
million, of which JD8,849 of which were spent, and there are bids still under
referral.
She said that the ministry obtained an exception from
the prime minister’s office to be excluded from the decision to stop biddings,
since schools need maintenance. She said that work has been completed on 20
schools since the beginning of the year.
