An online platform was also launched to allow citizens to check their eligibility for government cancer treatment insurance using their national ID number via the portal (cancer-insurance.gov.jo). The platform provides direct access to insurance information and related services.

The Ministry urged citizens to follow the steps on the Sanad app to obtain their insurance card by logging in with their personal account, navigating to the “My Documents” section on the main screen, and downloading the “Care Insurance” card.

In June, the government and the King Hussein Cancer Foundation signed an agreement to implement the government insurance program for treatment at KHCC and set clear, fair, and sustainable service procedures.

This system is part of the government's efforts to enhance social protection principles, representing a major shift in the delivery and continuity of healthcare services for the most vulnerable groups.

The government insurance program covers approximately 4.1 million Jordanians at a cost of 124 million dinars allocated from the 2026 budget, while the King Hussein Cancer Foundation will cover an additional 8.5 million dinars.

Eligible groups include all Jordanians aged 19 and under, and those aged 60 and above who are not covered by military or private health insurance, in addition to all beneficiaries of the National Aid Fund and their families—across all age groups—who are not covered by military health insurance.
