The Ministry had earlier stated it would digitize 100% of government services within the current year, but later reprioritized its plans and confirmed that 80% would be digitized during 2025, with the rate reaching 100% in 2026.
According to Al-Mamlaka, the Ministry added that 80% of government services—equivalent to 1,920 out of 2,400 targeted services—have now been digitized.
Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship Sami Smeirat previously affirmed that the goals and indicators of the Ministry’s 2024–2028 strategic plan aim to establish a sustainable digital economy and an environment supportive of entrepreneurship.
Smeirat noted that the plan’s goals and indicators focus on managing digital transformation, delivering priority government services through innovative and integrated secure frameworks, and developing a secure and reliable digital government ecosystem.
