The European Commission announced on Wednesday the approval of a financial assistance proposal for Jordan worth up to €500 million, as part of the new EU-Jordan strategy covering the five-year period from 2025 to 2030.

A Milestone in EU–Jordan Relations
The Commission stated:
"This funding represents a significant milestone in our strong relationship with Jordan, fulfilling the commitments outlined in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership adopted earlier this year."
Supporting Reforms and Economic Stability
The assistance aims to support Jordan’s external financing needs, contributing to the continued consolidation of public finances and backing the implementation of structural reforms.
Through this, the European Union seeks to assist Jordan in advancing its reform agenda, while also promoting job creation, economic growth, and investment.
