EU ambassadors visit red-rose city

PETRA - A group of ambassadors of the European Union (EU) and other European countries on Thursday visited Petra, accompanied by the Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Nayef Fayez.اضافة اعلان

The 16 ambassadors made the visit to discuss cooperation with the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) and to go over the authority's plans to develop the area. The ambassadors toured the ancient city and were briefed on its historical significance and the Nabateans' role in building it.

Chairman of the PDTRA Suleiman Farajat also briefed the visitors on the establishment of the authority and its efforts to develop the infrastructure of the city. The visit, he noted, promotes the red-rose city on a larger scale in European countries.
