AMMAN — A “dangerous” wanted man accused of 21 counts of narcotics peddling and shooting at people has been arrested in an operation east of Amman, the media spokesman for the
Security Directorate confirmed Sunday, according to Al Ghad.

He said that the operation was carried out after preparing a plan based on intelligence received that confirmed the presence of the wanted man who had been hiding out in a house in Badia.
He said that no sooner did security forces arrive at the location of the suspect than the wanted man tried to escape, but he was dealt with him according to the rules of engagement and control.
Quantities of narcotics, firearms, and counterfeit foreign currency were seized in the operation, in addition to the arrest of a number of other wanted persons.
The Public Security Directorate praised citizens’ cooperation, which helped complete the operation.
