Culture minister, Norwegian ambassador talk cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Culture Haifa Najjar met with Norway's Ambassador Espen Lindbeck on Thursday to discuss several cultural issues of joint interest, according to Jordan News Agency, Petra.اضافة اعلان

According to a ministry statement, Najjar said "we follow His Majesty King Abdullah's vision in turning plans into action and making Jordan a productive country with a strong presence in cultural industries," noting that culture intersects with various productive sectors.

She highlighted the ministry's projects, such as the Family Library and a partnership with the Jordan Phosphate Mines Co. to establish headquarters for cultural bodies, pointing to Norway's contribution through several projects and activities.

For his part, the envoy stressed the strong cultural ties with the Kingdom, calling for increased cooperation in all cultural areas.
