Cabinet approves National Population Strategy

AMMAN  — A Cabinet session, headed by Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh, on Sunday approved the National Population Strategy 2021–2030.اضافة اعلان

The strategy’s priorities, which were outlined by the Higher Population Council (HPC), in cooperation with ministries, public and semi-governmental institutions, civil society organizations, and the private sector, are based on pillars related to health and reproductive health; economic and social integration; women and youth; and migration, refugees, and crises.

The Cabinet asked the concerned authorities to act according to the strategy, demanding inclusion of its outcomes, under their existing and/or future plans and programs in coordination with the HPC, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

They also approved the recommendations of the Settlement and Reconciliation Committee to settle the tax status of 1,058 taxpayers that had financial obligations, in accordance with the provisions of the Income Tax Law and the General Sales Tax Law.
