Bookagri.com, in collaboration with local farmers, provides tourists with the chance to participate in hands-on activities such as milking goats, beekeeping, and traditional baking, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Rudaina Haddad, founder and CEO of Bookagri, highlighted these offerings during a lecture hosted by the Jordan Society for Scientific Research, Entrepreneurship, and Creativity on Sunday.

Choose from diverse agritourism destinations
Tourists can select from a range of agritourism destinations in Salt, Jerash, Ajloun, and Karak, allowing them to spend a day with farmers or even extend their experience by staying overnight in accommodations provided by Bookagri.

In addition to the immersive activities, Bookagri's project offers visitors guided tours, cooking lessons, home product development opportunities, and an interactive platform to enhance their understanding of Jordan's agricultural heritage, as stated by Haddad.

Growing popularity of agricultural tourism
The popularity of agricultural tourism in Jordan has witnessed a significant rise, with a growing number of visitors seeking to explore the process of agricultural and animal product production and acquire hands-on farming skills.

Haddad emphasized the economic benefits of Bookagri for local communities, highlighting that women in particular can generate income from the resources of their farms while also having the opportunity to interact with foreign visitors, thereby fostering cultural exchange and understanding.
