AMMAN — Jordan Bar Association (JBA) President Yahya Abu Abood rebuked the signing of new agreements with Israel, stressing the JBA’s rejection of any cooperation with the Israeli occupation, Jo24 reported. اضافة اعلان

“Signing the agreements is considered support for Israel to continue killing the Palestinian people,” he said.

The agreements also “encourage settlement and attacks on Al-Aqsa Mosque,” Abood added, describing the tactic of normalizing with the occupation as a “political crime”.

Linking Jordan’s strategic resources of gas, water, and energy to Israel through signing environmental agreements will “enable the enemy to control the fate of our economy and our homeland”, he said.

Abood reiterated that the bar association rejects any agreement with Israel, stressing that the bar’s board and its members “do not accept any involvement in Israeli projects, and discourage normalization under any name, regardless of the justifications”.
