First package of BRT project route done by 56.2 percent

AMMAN— The Ministry of Public Works and Housing revealed that the first package of the Bus Rapid Transit project between Amman and Zarqa has been completed by 56.2 percent so far, according to Khaberni News.اضافة اعلان

The ministry said that the completion rate for the first package, the second package is 85.4 percent, the third package is 77.45 percent, and the fourth package is 91.12 percent.

The ministry announced that on October 3rd, works of part of the Bus Rapid Transit project route between Amman and Zarqa were completed.

It also explained that the work of the permanent lanes has been completed, on the Amman-Zarqa highway, in the area from the beginning of the Abu Sayah Tunnel intersection to the entrance to the Al-Aratfeh neighborhood, as part of the third package.

The ministry pointed out that the works included the three lanes for the lane heading from Zarqa to Amman, rainwater drainage works, service lines, furnishing public safety and lighting elements, and other necessary works in accordance with the highest international engineering standard.

Work on the project has been divided into several phases to ensure the sustainability of the traffic movement.
