AMMAN — On Thursday, the Eastern Military Zone foiled an infiltration attempt from Syria into the Kingdom, an official source in the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) stated, according to Alghad news.
The rules of engagement were applied by the Border Guards, which led the smugglers to retreat back into the Syrian lands. High amounts of drugs were found and referred to the relevant authorities.
The official source said that JAF will not tolerate any attempts to threaten the security of the Kingdom and its people and will deal firmly and strictly to thwart any smuggling or infiltration attempts.
