AMMAN — On Monday, Al-Ghad newspaper
participated in the International Day of Solidarity with Palestinian
Journalists by holding a solidarity stand in front of the institution.
The Jordan Press Association (JPA) called on
its members in public and private media institutions to stand in front of their
institutions at 12:00 pm to participate in the international day, Al-Ghad
reported.
Dozens of journalists, administrators, and
employees of Al-Ghad participated in the stand, expressing their rejection of Israel’s attacks on the people of Gaza Strip, including journalists.
During the stand, the participants raised banners
condemning the targeting of journalists in Gaza, including slogans such as
"Truth faces bullets in Gaza," as well as "132 journalists
killed in Gaza defending truth.”
Additionally, JPA urged the international
community to play a greater role in protecting Palestinian journalists to
enable them to convey the truth that Israel seeks to obliterate, provide a safe
working environment for journalists, and ensure protection for journalists in
the field.
