He highlighted the launch of a medicine delivery service after a study revealed that 50% of prescriptions are monthly. Monthly medications will be distributed at hospitals from 1:00 to 5:00 PM and at health centers from 1:00 to 4:00 PM, in addition to an approved electronic application to reduce pressure on patients.
The minister added that the ministry has computerized its inventory management system in five governorates and is working to complete it in the remaining regions.
Regarding MRI services, Al-Badour explained that a plan has been implemented to organize appointments, reducing the number of scans on the waiting list from 26,000 to 5,400 within two months of applying the new system, with expectations to complete the backlog by year-end.
He also noted that five hospitals have been linked to an electronic system allowing remote patient follow-up. At Ramtha Hospital, the mortality rate reached zero last month due to this service, and seven additional hospitals will be connected next month.
The minister affirmed the ministry’s aim to make health centers the first point of contact for healthcare, easing the burden on hospitals.
