The agreement follows a visit by the Prime Minister to Azraq last week, during which he directed that civilians from Azraq be included in the services offered by the military medical center, promoting collaboration between the Ministry of Health and the Royal Medical Services.
Health Minister Ibrahim Al-Badour stated that the agreement reflects the partnership and integration between state institutions in the health sector, ensuring equitable and efficient access to healthcare services and making the best use of available resources from both the Ministry of Health and RMS.
Al-Badour noted that a permanent gynecologist has been assigned to the center by RMS, and the center has been equipped with modern imaging devices. He added that the center will begin receiving civilians and providing medical services starting today.
RMS Director General, Brig. Gen. Dr. Sahal Al-Hamouri, explained that the agreement demonstrates RMS’s commitment to supporting national efforts to improve healthcare services for citizens. He added that the Azraq Comprehensive Military Medical Center will serve as a model for integration between civilian and military health sectors in Jordan. Plans are underway to establish a fully equipped obstetrics and gynecology department and expand the number of dialysis beds to meet the needs of local residents.
This agreement represents a significant step toward enhancing collaboration among various institutions, improving the quality of healthcare services, and ensuring their sustainability across all governorates.
