During her tour of the facility, Bani Mustafa instructed staff to focus on equipping juveniles with life and vocational skills through programs that include behavior modification, awareness-raising, and rehabilitation, with the aim of helping them reintegrate into society.
She also directed that the best interests of juveniles be observed in all procedures concerning them, ensuring a safe and healthy environment, and maintaining constant compliance with public safety measures within the facility.
Separately, Bani Mustafa inspected the Ministry’s Anti-Begging Directorate in Tabrbour, Amman, stressing the need to intensify campaigns carried out by anti-begging committees across the Kingdom.
She highlighted the importance of integrated efforts with the Public Security Directorate, relevant judicial authorities, administrative governors, and other stakeholders.
The minister further emphasized the significance of rehabilitation programs for juveniles apprehended in these campaigns, noting that this group is legally classified as in need of protection and care, and must be safeguarded from the negative consequences and dangers of being on public streets.
Bani Mustafa also underscored the importance of community awareness in combating begging by raising public understanding of its risks and consequences, while encouraging citizens to report cases of begging. She directed the committees to ensure immediate and prompt follow-up on all citizen reports or complaints around the clock.
