AMMAN — The Ministry of Social Development arrested 10315 beggars since the onset of the year, according to Alghad News. Minister of Social Development Ayman Al-Mufleh on Friday stated that 70 percent of the arrested beggars have been arrested before. In an interview with a local media outlet, Mufleh added “this number means the begging has turned into a profession, and the biggest problem we counter is begging through random selling”.
