AMMAN — According to the
Ministry of Labor spokesperson, the
National Employment Program has seen the signing of 27,458 contacts by
companies across various sectors. A total of 1,972 companies are currently
registered in the program.

He highlighted that the majority of employment contracts
were concentrated in the
education sector, closely followed by the
industrial sector. In contrast, there was less demand in sectors related to air
conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical installations, Khaberni reported.
He further pointed out that out of all applicants for the
National Employment Program, 14 percent were high school graduates (
Tawjihi),
while 12 percent held qualifications below high school. Interestingly, despite
these statistics, the unemployment rate remained high in these two categories.
