Rodri, Manchester City star and captain of World Cup-winning Spain, arrived in the capital, Madrid, to undergo back surgery.
Spanish newspaper Marca reported that Rodri arrived in Madrid on Monday and will undergo surgery within the next few hours to recover from a back issue.

For his part, Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca confirmed in a press conference that the player will join the English team after undergoing the surgery.
Maresca added: "Rodri will have the operation on Monday, after which he will take a break to rest and recover before returning to the team."
Manchester City are preparing to fly to Hong Kong on Tuesday without several of their World Cup stars, including Rodri, Norway's Erling Haaland, and France's Rayan Cherki, in addition to new signing Elliot Anderson.
Manchester City will play three friendly matches during their Asian tour against Inter Milan, the South Korean League All-Stars, and Atlético Madrid on August 1, 5, and 9.
Real Madrid are targeting the signing of Rodri, but the English club wants to extend the Spanish star's contract, which expires at the end of next season, per the manager's wish.
Maresca emphasized: "Any manager would want Rodri because he is a top-level player."
