During these visits, the department notified non-compliant businesses and individuals and granted them legal grace periods to rectify their status before taking any legal action, in accordance with applicable legislation.

The department issued notices to 379 businesses, shops, and individuals for failing to comply with the provisions of the National Electronic Invoicing System and for not issuing proper invoices. They were granted a one-week period to correct their legal status.

The department confirmed that teams from the Enforcement and Invoicing Directorates will continue their field inspections, both to collect feedback from compliant entities and to verify adherence to the system’s provisions. Non-compliant parties will be notified and granted a one-week grace period before legal measures are taken against violators.

The department stated that the number of entities registered in the National Electronic Invoicing System has reached approximately 158,000 companies, businesses, individuals, and professionals. The number of invoices issued daily through the system has risen to about 1.2 million.

It also noted that the National Electronic Invoicing System has been integrated with the government’s “Sanad” application, enabling companies and businesses to verify that their local purchases are made from suppliers compliant with the system. Additionally, any person receiving an invoice can verify its authenticity by scanning the QR code through the digital document verification feature within the application.
