Oil Prices Fall 3% Following Trump’s Positive Remarks on Iran

Oil prices declined on Monday after U.S. President Donald Trump expressed hope for reaching an agreement with Iran, easing concerns over the outbreak of a conflict between the two countries in the oil-rich region.

West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell by 3.4% to $62.99 per barrel, while Brent crude dropped by 3.2% to $67.09 per barrel in early Asian trading following the U.S. president’s remarks.
