Al-Azzam stated during a government communication forum that the airport officially received its license from the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission at the end of November, after meeting all international standards and requirements.

The total cost of the rehabilitation and licensing project reached JD 15 million, covering the upgrade of service facilities and the development of both airside and landside infrastructure.

Al-Azzam highlighted a major competitive advantage of the airport: the departure tax is only JD 10, included in the ticket price, compared to JD 40 at Queen Alia International Airport.
