Plans include Jordan’s first urea and ammonia plant using natural gas near the Risha field, as well as producing communication antennas and radio-frequency cables for civilian and military uses.

A factory for manufacturing data center components is also planned, along with a next-generation data center to support cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things.

The government has launched strategic industrial investment opportunities with national priority, focusing on modern industries, including drone components, semiconductor production, and advanced data centers, under an integrated public-private partnership framework.

According to the opportunities published by the Ministry of Investment and monitored by Al-Mamlaka, these new opportunities are open to local and international investors, reflecting a strategy to boost growth in energy, logistics, and infrastructure sectors while providing an enabling environment that reduces risks and accelerates implementation through supportive regions, incentives, and policies.

Details of the projects:

Drone Components Manufacturing: The project aims to produce lightweight, durable composite structures, including carbon fiber and fiberglass, for commercial and defense drones. It also includes high-efficiency electric motors, specialized propulsion systems, and other drone-specific components.

Priority Projects: Opportunities include semiconductor production through a line for assembly, testing, and packaging of chips, supported by advanced laboratories and high-quality control systems to meet local and regional manufacturers’ needs.

Battery Manufacturing: Production of batteries for wireless and electronic devices, including design, cell production, and assembly of power packs for electronics, communications, drones, and light vehicles, following safety and quality standards.

Urea and Ammonia Plant: Jordan’s first such plant using natural gas near the Risha field.

Metal Fabrication: Casting and forming metal components for industrial and military use, including heat treatment and finishing processes.

Printed Circuit Boards: Production of single- and multi-layer PCBs for electronics, communications, medical devices, and defense applications, meeting industrial and military standards.

Communication Antennas and RF Cables: Manufacturing antennas and radio-frequency cables of various types and frequency ranges for civilian and military use with high compliance standards.

Advanced Data Centers: Establishing factories to produce data center components and next-generation smart data centers with secure digital infrastructure, advanced cooling, backup power, integrated cybersecurity solutions, and support for cloud computing, AI, IoT, and big data analytics. These centers will use green energy solutions, high-efficiency cooling, and top-level cybersecurity to support digital transformation in government, banking, defense, and telecommunications sectors.
