In a related development, the Moscow-appointed governor of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia region said that more than 200,000 consumers in the Russian-controlled part of the region remained without electricity on Sunday following a drone strike carried out by Kyiv the day before.
Yevheniy Paletsky stated on Telegram that efforts are underway to restore power, but nearly 400 neighborhoods remain without electricity.
Temperatures have dropped below zero in southeastern Zaporizhzhia, where Russia controls roughly 75% of the area.
