Vance added in an interview with Fox News that President Donald Trump will make the final decision on the potential deal.

He continued, “We are certainly looking at a number of requests submitted by Europeans.”

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had asked the United States to sell these missiles to European countries, which would then send them to Ukraine.

Zelensky stated that his country is ready to make additional agreements with the United States for arms supply, including long-range weapons, in addition to the current $90 billion deal.

Tomahawk missiles have a range of up to 2,500 kilometers and would become a powerful addition to Ukraine’s arsenal while it continues to face waves of Russian missile and drone attacks.

Previously, the U.S. president had rejected Ukraine’s requests for long-range missiles but has recently expressed frustration over Russian President Vladimir Putin’s refusal to reach a peace agreement, threatening major sanctions on Moscow.

If a Tomahawk missile deal goes ahead, Russia would view it as an escalation in its war with Ukraine.

Kyiv has previously received long-range missiles, including the British Storm Shadow with a range of 250 kilometers, which it has used solely within its territory against Russian forces.

Following recent large-scale Russian attacks on Ukraine, President Zelensky threatened to strike power centers in Moscow, a warning that the Kremlin dismissed lightly.
