The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Tuesday that hundreds of thousands of Palestinians in Gaza are surviving on just one meal every two to three days due to Israel’s ongoing starvation policy, which includes closing border crossings and blocking humanitarian aid from entering the Strip for more than two months.

In a statement on its official website, the agency reported that over a thousand children in Gaza are suffering from severe malnutrition as a result of this policy.
The UN agency also stressed that it will not participate in the Israeli aid distribution plan for Gaza, stating that the plan does not meet UN standards.
