UNRWA: Gaza Strip suffers from “catastrophic hunger”

GAZA — The director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees affairs in the strip (UNRWA) Thomas White on X, formally known as Twitter, that the residents of the Gaza Strip are "hungry and desperate for food,", Al-Mamlaka TV reported. In a video clip attached by White, hundreds of Palestinians gathered around the UNRWA aid convoy in the city of Gaza during the current week. "Gaza is suffering from catastrophic hunger, with 40 percent of the population at risk of famine." White emphasized, adding that "every day in Gaza is a struggle for survival, searching for food and water.” White concluded that "there is a need for more regular supplies, requiring safe and sustainable access for humanitarian aid everywhere, including northern Gaza."
