The Sudanese government on Thursday denied sending any envoy to Israel, following reports in local media about a secret visit by General Al-Sadiq Ismail, the personal envoy of Sovereign Council Chairman Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, to Tel Aviv last week, allegedly to discuss normalization efforts with Israel.
Sudanese Minister of Information, Khalid Ali Al-Aysir, confirmed in a statement that "the Sudanese government did not send any envoy to Israel," without providing further details about the alleged envoy’s identity.
He added that “what some media outlets have circulated in this regard is completely false.”
He called on media outlets to “adhere to accuracy, objectivity, and professionalism, and to avoid publishing unverified information.”
