The Israeli Home Front Command reported that air raid sirens sounded in several areas in the north, including Kiryat Shmona, Metula, the village of Ghajar, and the Upper Galilee region.
The Iranian military stated on Saturday that its naval forces launched an intensive wave of drone attacks targeting Israel and bases it identified as American in the UAE and Kuwait, as the US-Israeli war against Iran enters its second week. In a statement carried by the official IRNA news agency, the Iranian military confirmed that its navy targeted Israel and US assembly points and bases with a massive wave of drone strikes.
The military added that among the targets were Al Minhad Air Base in the UAE, which houses US forces, another base in Kuwait, and a "strategic facility" inside Israel.
Israel and the United States have been conducting airstrikes on Iran since Saturday, February 28, which resulted in the death of the Iranian Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. Since then, Tehran has retaliated by striking Israel and regional countries with missiles and drones. Additionally, Iran has enforced a maritime blockade on vessel transit through the Strait of Hormuz, targeting oil tankers that attempted to pass.
On Sunday, March 1, Hezbollah launched several missiles from Lebanon targeting northern Israel in response to Khamenei's assassination.
