One Palestinian was martyred and others were injured by Israeli forces’ gunfire in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip on Thursday.
The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that Israeli forces opened fire on a group of Palestinians in Beit Lahia, resulting in the martyrdom of one person and injuries to several others. The wounded were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

According to the latest figures from the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, the death toll from the war in Gaza since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,470 martyrs, with 174,540 people injured.
The ministry said 1,334 martyrs have been recorded since the ceasefire agreement took effect, along with 4,429 injured, while the bodies of 815 martyrs have been recovered during the same period.
Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement through shelling, gunfire, demolitions and incursions in various parts of the Gaza Strip, resulting in further Palestinian casualties and attacks targeting displaced people’s gatherings and residential areas.
