The channel quoted security sources expressing concerns over Hezbollah’s potential use of fiber-optic-guided drones.

Yesterday evening, the Israeli occupation army announced the death of Sergeant Idan Fuchs during a Hezbollah attack in southern Lebanon. A military statement further clarified that the attack resulted in the injury of six military personnel, including an officer, with three reported to be in critical condition.

Israel Army Radio revealed details of the attack, which occurred Sunday morning in southern Lebanon following a strike by Hezbollah kamikaze drones.

According to the Israeli account, the incident began during the morning hours when a tank belonging to an armored company operating under the Golani Brigade’s 12th Battalion broke down inside the town of Al-Taybe in southern Lebanon. This forced the accompanying force to address the malfunction on-site in a relatively exposed position.

The radio added that at approximately 9:30 AM, a kamikaze drone launched by Hezbollah operatives crashed near the disabled tank. The powerful explosion resulted in the death of one soldier and the wounding of six others—four in critical condition, one in moderate condition, and another with minor injuries.

The report noted that an Israeli Air Force helicopter was dispatched to conduct an aerial evacuation of the wounded, landing inside Lebanese territory to transport the casualties. During the evacuation, the radio reported that Hezbollah launched two additional kamikaze drones toward the rescue forces in an attempt to target the evacuation process.

Israeli forces managed to intercept one of the drones, while the second crashed very close to the evacuation helicopter, just a few meters away, as the wounded were being loaded.
