On Tuesday, for the tenth consecutive day, settlers continued their siege on several homes in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, under the protection of the Israeli occupation army, in an attempt to seize them and establish a fait accompli in the area.

Settlers are deployed across the area and moving freely. On Monday, a homeowner holding U.S. citizenship managed to reach his home upon returning from the United States accompanied by an American delegation.
The siege began on Sunday, August 9, 2026, when a group of settlers set up a temporary tent near homes in Qusra, which residents say has prevented supplies from entering the area.
The besieged families are living under continuous pressure. The United Nations confirmed that around 15 Palestinians, including two children, are trapped inside the homes and facing difficulty meeting their basic needs due to water and electricity cuts.
Families have issued an urgent appeal to international and humanitarian organizations to intervene and break the siege, amid ongoing settler attacks in the area for over four months and their efforts to establish an outpost there.
Occupation forces raided the town and forced the besieged families to temporarily evacuate their homes under the pretext of troop deployment in the area. However, family members refused to leave the site and moved to a third house, fearing that losing control of the homes would pave the way for their permanent seizure.
Reactions poured in following the settlers' blockade of the homes, where they closed access roads with stones, pitched a tent in the vicinity, barred family members from entering, exiting, or receiving visitors, and cut off water and electricity.
The United States is pressuring Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to condemn the settlers' siege of the homes.
