Data from the Central Bank of Jordan revealed an increase in tourism expenditure by Jordanians and residents during July 2026, rising by 0.3% to reach $248.1 million.

According to the data, tourism spending by Jordanians and residents in the first seven months of the current year reached $1,154.2 million, reflecting a 7.5% drop compared to the same period last year.
Preliminary Central Bank figures also point to a 24.9% surge in tourism revenue during July 2026, totaling $926.2 million. Meanwhile, overall tourism revenues for the first seven months of the year experienced a slight decrease of 0.2%, coming in at $4.418 billion.
The figures further show that tourism revenue during the first seven months of 2026 from expatriate Jordanians dropped by 8.9%, American nationals by 20.6%, European nationalities by 24.7%, and other nationalities by 39.7%.
In contrast, tourism revenue generated from Arab visitors grew by 12.8%, while revenue from Asian nationalities rose by 3.9%.
