The group stage draw for the 2026–2027 AFC Champions League Two, held on Tuesday in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, placed Jordan’s representatives, Al-Faisaly and Al-Hussein Irbid, in Groups C and D for the West Zone.

Al-Faisaly was drawn into Group C alongside Saudi Arabia’s Al-Taawoun, Qatar’s Al-Rayyan, and Oman’s Al-Nahda. Meanwhile, Al-Hussein Irbid was placed in Group D alongside Iraq’s Al-Shorta, Oman’s Al-Seeb, and India’s East Bengal.
This edition of the tournament features 32 teams, with the group stage set to kick off on September 15. The matches will follow a double round-robin home-and-away format.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the Round of 16 to continue their pursuit of the continental title.
The participation of Al-Faisaly and Al-Hussein Irbid holds significant importance for Jordanian football as both clubs aim for strong results and a firmer continental footing. Al-Faisaly previously won the AFC Cup twice, while Al-Hussein Irbid enters this season’s campaign with high ambitions to compete and make a notable impact. —(Petra)
