Far-right Israeli Occupation National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir expressed his hope on Sunday for an escalation with Lebanon.
"We cannot settle for merely focusing on neutralizing threats; we must end this cat-and-mouse game and crush them in Beirut," Ben-Gvir stated.

This comes after the Lebanese Ministry of Health announced on Saturday that 11 people, including three children, were martyred in Israeli airstrikes targeting the towns of Ansar and Deir Al-Zahrani in southern Lebanon.
According to the Lebanese National News Agency, the Israeli occupation army executed a powerful detonation operation in the town of Tallouseh in southern Lebanon on Saturday evening, marking the fiercest escalation since the signing of the framework agreement between the two sides on June 26.
The office of Israeli Occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the heavy airstrikes launched by the occupation army since Saturday dawn came in response to what it claimed was a breach of the ceasefire agreement by Hezbollah, alleging that the group launched a drone attack that severely injured three soldiers.
The Israeli occupation army reported that an attack in southern Lebanon targeted Ali Samir Al-Hajj Hassan, identified as a unit commander in the Radwan Force.
For its part, Hezbollah vowed an appropriate response to the ongoing Israeli aggression on southern Lebanon.
