Israeli Military Announces Killing of Senior Commander in Hezbollah’s Badr Unit in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli occupation military announced on Sunday the killing of a senior commander in Hezbollah’s "Badr" Unit during an airstrike targeting the Deir Al-Zahrani area in southern Lebanon.اضافة اعلان

An Israeli military spokesperson stated that "(Abu Hassan Alaa) participated in planning and executing numerous attacks against Israeli military forces operating in the security zone, including launching explosive-laden drones toward military forces in southern Lebanon."

The spokesperson added that "(Abu Hassan Alaa) had commanded several combat sectors within Hezbollah over recent years," noting that the strike came in response to an operation executed by Hezbollah against Israeli forces operating in the area.

The Israeli military framed the assassination of the Hezbollah leader as a blow to the command and operational capabilities of the "Badr" Unit.
