The Israeli occupation army announced on Saturday that it carried out airstrikes targeting the areas of Nabatieh and Ansar in southern Lebanon, claiming to have hit "Hezbollah" infrastructure. Meanwhile, Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) reported that 7 people were martyred and 3 others injured in a strike that targeted a residential home in the town of Ansar.

On June 26, 2026, Beirut and Tel Aviv signed a US-brokered framework agreement, primarily stipulating a gradual Israeli withdrawal from all occupied Lebanese territories in exchange for the deployment of the Lebanese Army and the disarmament of armed groups, in reference to Hezbollah.
The occupation army stated in a post published on X (formerly Twitter) that overnight it attacked sites in Nabatieh and Ansar, claiming they were infrastructure belonging to Hezbollah.
It claimed the strikes came in response to "activity carried out by Hezbollah against its forces" in the Ali Al-Taher heights in the Nabatieh region—an area located within what Israel designates as a "security zone" where its forces operate.
The occupation army did not clarify the nature of the activity attributed to Hezbollah, nor did it provide evidence in its statement demonstrating that the targeted sites were military facilities belonging to the group.
Conversely, Lebanon's NNA reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted a home on the outskirts of Ansar in the Nabatieh District, resulting in the martyrdom of 7 people, the injury of 3 others, and the destruction of the house.
Lebanese media outlets also reported that the Nabatieh region witnessed a series of Israeli airstrikes at dawn, targeting the Ali Al-Taher heights and the surroundings of Nabatieh Al-Fawqa.
Despite the agreement, Israel continues its attacks on Lebanon, which began on March 2, 2026. According to Lebanese authorities, these attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of 4,335 people, the injury of 12,277 others, and the displacement of over one million individuals.
Israel continues to occupy regions in southern Lebanon—some for decades, and others since the previous war between 2023 and 2024—while advancing over 10 kilometers inland during the current offensive.
