Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound (Al-Haram Al-Sharif) in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday morning, entering through the Moroccan Gate under heavy protection from Israeli occupation police.

According to a statement by the Islamic Waqf Department in occupied Jerusalem, the settlers roamed the courtyards of the holy site, received briefings about the so-called "Temple," and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern part of the compound.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued to impose tight restrictions on Palestinian worshippers, seizing their ID cards at the mosque’s outer gates and obstructing their access.
Widespread calls have been issued urging residents of Jerusalem and Palestinians in the occupied interior to mobilize, remain present, and maintain a steadfast presence at Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The calls emphasize the importance of mass turnout and performing prayers at the mosque as a practical response to the occupation's ongoing violations, and to resist attempts to isolate the holy site from its religious and popular surroundings.
Al-Aqsa Mosque faces near-daily incursions and violations by settlers—except on Fridays and Saturdays—under the protection of Israeli police, in what is widely seen as part of efforts to impose a temporal and spatial division of the mosque.
