Aoun: Lebanon’s Stability Directly Serves Europe’s Interests
Lebanese President Michel Aoun stated that the stability of Lebanon directly benefits Europe.

During his meeting on Tuesday with Dutch Defense Minister Robbert Brikman, Aoun emphasized the need for Israel to adhere to the agreements reached in November 2024. He highlighted that Lebanon has fulfilled all its obligations and continues to honor them despite ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory.اضافة اعلان

Aoun also noted yesterday that negotiation remains Lebanon’s only viable option, explaining that politics offers three tools: diplomacy, economic measures, and military action. “When war leads to no results, what is left? The end of every conflict in the world has been negotiation,” he said, stressing that negotiation is conducted with adversaries, not friends or allies.

Additionally, Aoun discussed internal matters, developments in southern Lebanon, and regional updates with David Hale, former U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs and former U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon.
