Medical sources in the Gaza Strip have reported that 67 children have died as a result of malnutrition, while more than 650,000 children under the age of five are facing an immediate and severe risk of acute malnutrition in the coming weeks—out of a total of 1.1 million children in the territory.

The sources added that the total blockade on Gaza has entered its 133rd consecutive day, after Israeli occupation forces shut down all border crossings and prohibited the entry of food, medicine, and fuel—a measure widely considered among the most extreme acts of collective punishment in modern history.
According to the same sources, the famine gripping the Gaza Strip is worsening by the day. In just the past three days, dozens of deaths have been recorded due to the lack of food and essential medical supplements. The situation on the ground is described as catastrophic, as Israel continues its blockade, barring the entry of flour, infant formula, and vital nutritional and medical supplies—a systematic policy that aims to starve the population, particularly children, and deprive them of the most basic necessities of life.
Approximately 1.25 million people in Gaza are currently experiencing catastrophic hunger, while 96% of the population suffers from severe food insecurity, including over one million children—a harrowing reality that reflects the scale of the unprecedented humanitarian disaster unfolding in Gaza.
