Director of Rural Damascus Health, Tawfiq Ismail Hasaba, said that six of the victims were transferred to Al-Mouwasat Hospital in Damascus, while four others were buried in the Beit Jinn farm area due to the difficulty of reaching them during the first hours after the Israeli assault.
Hasaba added that 11 injured individuals were taken to Al-Mouwasat Hospital, and three others to Qatana Hospital in rural Damascus. Some of the cases were critical and required surgery. He noted that the Rural Damascus ambulance system, in cooperation with the Syrian Civil Defense, provided first aid to cases that did not require hospital transfer.
He stated that the Harmoun and Sa’sa’ medical points were activated, and coordination was made with the National Golan Hospital to ensure the fastest possible medical care for the injured.
Meanwhile, residents of the town confronted the advancing Israeli forces, who fired heavily during the incursion. Israeli aircraft also conducted extensive overflights above the area, prompting residents to flee toward neighboring towns.
Earlier on Friday, the Israeli occupation army announced that several of its soldiers were injured during the incursion into Beit Jinn in rural Damascus.
In a post on X, its spokesperson said: “During the past night, and based on intelligence gathered in recent weeks, troops from the 210th Division launched an operation to arrest wanted individuals (…) operating in the village of Beit Jinn in southern Syria, who were advancing (..) plans against Israeli citizens.”
He added: “Shots were fired at the troops, who responded accordingly, with air support provided in the area.
