According to the platform’s account on X, the supertanker—carrying more than 1.9 million barrels of crude oil—managed to avoid U.S. monitoring while moving through Indonesian waters.

The account stated: “A VLCC supertanker owned by the National Iranian Tanker Company (NITC), carrying more than 1.9 million barrels (valued at approximately $220 million) of crude oil, has successfully evaded the U.S. Navy and reached the Far East.”

It added that the vessel, named “HUGE” (IMO: 9357183), was last spotted off the coast of Sri Lanka more than a week ago, and is currently passing through the Lombok Strait toward the Riau Archipelago.

According to maritime tracking data, the tanker has not transmitted Automatic Identification System (AIS) signals since March 20, when it departed the Strait of Malacca en route to Iran.
