The new updates vary between security tools, artificial intelligence improvements, shopping and search features, alongside developments targeting various Google applications.

In a step aimed at combating the rising wave of phone fraud, Google launched a new feature to detect spoofed calls.

The tool automatically verifies whether an incoming call actually originates from the device of the contact saved on the phone. If any tampering or identity spoofing is detected, an immediate alert appears to the user, allowing them to end the call before falling victim to a scam.

This feature comes at a time when phone number spoofing techniques have become more sophisticated and difficult to detect.

Among the most prominent new additions is the "Wardrobe" feature within Google Photos.

The feature relies on artificial intelligence to analyze personal photos and classify the clothing worn by the user into different categories, such as shirts or accessories and jewelry.

It also allows users to create different clothing combinations and try them on virtually to see how an outfit looks before wearing it.

The feature is scheduled to begin rolling out next week for devices running Android 10 and newer, and it will initially be available in the United States, India, and Brazil.

The "Circle to Search" feature has witnessed a new expansion, allowing more Android users to benefit from the "Search for Look" option.

This tool allows the user to select clothing displayed on the screen and search for each piece individually, making it easier to find similar products or purchase them online.

The feature will become available for all devices running Android 14 or newer that support the "Circle to Search" function.

Google has also expanded the scope of file sharing support between Android and iPhone devices through the "Quick Share" feature.

This capability was previously available on a limited number of devices before it began gradually reaching more phones from different manufacturers, granting users a more seamless experience in exchanging files across different operating systems.

The updates also include significant developments to the Personal Safety app, where children under the age of 13 will be able to benefit from a number of new security tools.

Among the most notable features is the ability to display medical information and emergency contacts directly from the lock screen, along with activating the car crash detection feature, which automatically contacts emergency services when an accident occurs.

Children will also be able to use the periodic safety check feature to inform trusted contacts that they are safe.

Meanwhile, Google Play Books users will receive new features that help them engage more deeply with books.

Readers will be able to get instant summaries of what they have read, in addition to the ability to highlight specific paragraphs and ask questions about characters, events, or topics to better comprehend the content.

These tools are currently available for a selected number of English books.

Finally, Google is expanding the "Emoji Kitchen" library, a feature that allows mixing two emojis to create a new and creative emoji.

The updates include a new set of combinations that give users more options to express their feelings and share them in conversations.
