]Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates on Saturday condemned the escalating violence carried out by Israeli settlers against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including the latest attacks targeting several Palestinian villages, during which settlers set fire to homes, agricultural land, and vehicles, uprooted large numbers of trees, and assaulted Palestinian residents.
The ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Sufyan Qudah, reaffirmed Jordan’s absolute rejection of these condemned attacks, describing them as an extension of the policies of Israel’s extremist government and its illegal measures in the occupied West Bank, which fuel extremism and violence against the Palestinian people and undermine prospects for achieving peace based on the two-state solution.
Qudah held Israel, as the occupying power, fully responsible for the attacks.
He called on the international community to fulfill its legal and moral responsibilities by compelling Israel to halt settler violence, hold those responsible for the crimes accountable, ensure they do not enjoy impunity, and uphold the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to establish an independent and sovereign state on the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
He stressed that this remains the only path toward achieving a just and comprehensive peace that guarantees security and stability throughout the region.
