Community Engagement Takes Center Stage in Jordan

AMMAN – talabat, the leading everyday delivery platform in the region, recently held its first in-person media event since the COVID-19 outbreak. This event, hosted at The Space in Rainbow Street, was a substantial departure from past virtual meetings on Zoom, providing a unique chance for local media representatives to interact personally with talabat’s management team.اضافة اعلان

The event began with a cordial welcome by talabat’s Communications, PA & Sustainability Manager. This gathering served as a prelude to an interesting meal, which was exquisitely enhanced by Wissam Tobeileh's classical violin songs, creating a tranquil atmosphere.



One of the gathering's highlights was a one-on-one meeting with Natalie Jamokha, talabat’s Senior Manager of Country Logistics. Jamokha spoke with the Jordan News on the company's commitment to hiring in Jordan, noting the recruitment of over 15,000 riders that vary from freelancers and third-party hires. She emphasized talabat’s dedication to comprehensive onboarding training sessions for riders, taking place in the newly established Heroes Experience Center dedicated to everything related to riders. talabat ensures riders' safety by providing them with the required gear and uniform.

Jamokha also mentioned talabat’s flexible working shifts, accommodating riders with various commitments such as other jobs and university studies.

In a significant step toward sustainability, she briefly discussed talabat's work on securing deals for electric vehicles (EVs) and mentioned that over 12% of the fleet already consists of EV. Additionally, talabat conducts yearly road safety weeks and ongoing training with the Jordan Traffic Institute to ensure riders are well-trained on road safety.



The event also included an enlightening discussion with Project Manager, Mohammad Abuhmaidan. Abuhmaidan discussed the cost-saving advantages for frequent consumers and introduced tPro – a subscription service that offers users significant savings on their orders by providing free delivery from thousands of vendors. tPro aims to enhance the overall customer experience, cementing talabat as the leading technology platform in the country.

Hind Lahham, Communications, PA & Sustainability Manager, highlighted talabat’s substantial humanitarian relief activities in Jordan and Gaza, emphasizing the company's purpose-led initiatives. The company was one of the first organizations to take swift action and stand for humanity and generously donated JOD368,000 to the World Food Programme (WFP), reinforcing its commitment to supporting the people in Gaza. talabat also collaborated with the renowned Tkiyet Um Ali and the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) to provide crucial support to communities in Gaza. Additionally, talabat enabled customers to donate through the Give Back collection on talabat application, contributing to food parcels and sanitary packages from tMart.



Lahham also mentioned talabat’s partnership with the Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein Club for the Deaf and Mute, showcasing the company's dedication to being an equal-opportunity employer.

The event also featured insights from Senior Marketing Manager, Patra Abu Al Neel, who shed light on talabat's dynamic marketing approach. Emphasizing affordability for customers, Abu Al Neel highlighted the platform's commitment to offering a diverse range of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. talabat aims to enhance the customer experience by providing continuous discount campaigns throughout the year, ensuring that users can enjoy their favorite meals at attractive prices. In addition to customer-focused initiatives, Abu Al Neel underscored the benefits for vendors, emphasizing that being featured on the talabat app provides them with higher exposure and presence. This exposure leads to greater order volume for vendors, showcasing talabat's dedication to fostering a mutually beneficial relationship with its restaurant partners.



This event not only presented updates on talabat’s operational accomplishments and community efforts but also reaffirmed the company's position as a key participant in the Jordanian market, cultivating a culture of inclusion, sustainability, and corporate responsibility.
