Speaking during the launch event on Thursday, held in cooperation with the Jordan Chamber of Industry, Suleiman said the initiative is being implemented as part of the executive program of the national cleanliness strategy. It aims to enhance the integration of national efforts to protect the environment and improve quality of life.

He explained that the partnership with the Jordan Chamber of Industry represents an effective model of cooperation between the public and private sectors.

According to a statement issued by the Chamber, Minister Suleiman emphasized the vital role of the industrial sector in supporting environmental efforts, promoting sustainable practices, contributing to the cleanliness of the Kingdom, improving quality of life, and enhancing Jordan’s appeal as a tourism and investment destination.

He added that the initiative seeks to support clean-up campaigns, spread environmental awareness, and provide eco-friendly supplies, helping to entrench sustainable practices and reinforce Jordan’s position as a clean and attractive country for tourism and investment.

Suleiman stressed the importance of continued collaboration among all sectors to ensure a lasting environmental impact and to instill a culture of social responsibility toward the environment.

For his part, Fathi Al-Jaghbir, President of the Jordan and Amman Chambers of Industry, stated that the launch of the joint national initiative stems from the Crown Prince’s cleanliness initiative and efforts to reduce littering, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment and with broad participation from the industrial sector.

He noted that the meeting hosted by the Chamber, attended by representatives of the industrial sector, reflects the sector’s pivotal role in supporting royal initiatives, preserving the environment, and promoting sustainability concepts.

Al-Jaghbir explained that the initiative represents a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Environment and the Jordan Chamber of Industry to enhance the industrial sector’s participation in supporting national efforts to implement the cleanliness strategy across the Kingdom. The goal is to reinforce Jordan’s status as a tourism destination, promote sustainable practices, and improve citizens’ quality of life.

He emphasized that the industrial sector believes maintaining the Kingdom’s cleanliness is an integral part of national identity and belonging, adding that local factories will contribute to supporting the initiative’s key pillars.

He also pointed out that through the initiative, the industrial sector will help raise environmental awareness among citizens, supply clean-up campaigns with necessary materials, and support the Ministry of Environment’s campaign, “Keep Your Bag in Your Car,” by securing and distributing thousands of reusable cloth bags to vehicles across the Kingdom.

Al-Jaghbir concluded that the initiative aims to spread environmental awareness, deepen public-private partnerships, and strengthen the industrial sector’s role in environmental and social responsibility.
