This positive performance aligns with the goals of the Economic Modernization Vision. It serves as an indicator of the growth and competitiveness of national exports in Arab markets, alongside the expansion of the Kingdom’s trade partner base in the region.

Key Trade Statistics (2025)
According to foreign trade statistics from the Department of Statistics (DoS):

National Exports to GAFTA: Grew by 10.2%, reaching 3.952 billion JOD, compared to 3.585 billion JOD in 2024.

Imports from GAFTA: Reached 5.444 billion JOD, up by 7.3% from 5.073 billion JOD in 2024.

Market Share: GAFTA countries ranked first among Jordan's trade partners, accounting for 41% of total national exports.

Total Trade Volume: Reached approximately 9.396 billion JOD, up from 8.658 billion JOD in 2024.

Trade Deficit with GAFTA: Stood at 1.492 billion JOD, a slight increase from 1.488 billion JOD in 2024.

Surplus and Deficit Distribution
Trade Surplus: Jordan achieved a surplus with Lebanon, Yemen, Libya, Qatar, Morocco, Kuwait, Syria, Palestine, Algeria, Iraq, and Bahrain.

Trade Deficit: A deficit was recorded with Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Egypt, Oman, Tunisia, and Sudan.

Top Trading Partners
Saudi Arabia: Held the largest share of Jordanian exports at 1.230 billion JOD (9% increase). However, it also topped the list of imports at 2.95 billion JOD, resulting in a trade deficit of 1.72 billion JOD with the Kingdom.

Iraq: Exports reached 990 million JOD (8.6% increase).

Syria: Witnessed remarkable growth, with exports reaching 252 million JOD, a surge of 358.2%.

Commodity Profile
Main Exports: Fertilizers, pharmaceuticals, agricultural products (fresh and frozen fruits/vegetables), salts, skincare products, food preparations, furniture, textiles, clothing, and paints.

Main Imports: Crude oil and derivatives, jewelry, food products, plastic sheets, titanium oxide, polyethylene, polystyrene, and iron products.

Overall Export Growth
Total national exports in 2025 rose by 9.9% to 9.624 billion JOD. Re-exports increased by 12.3% to 959 million JOD, bringing total exports to 10.583 billion JOD—a 10.1% increase compared to 2024.
