WASHINGTON — The United States and Jordan have signed a new Reciprocal Trade Agreement, marking a step toward strengthening economic ties and expanding bilateral trade.
The agreement was signed on Tuesday by U.S. Trade Representative Ambassador Greer and Jordan’s Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Yarub Qudah, during a ceremony in Washington.
Ambassador Greer said the agreement reflects President Donald Trump’s efforts to deepen economic and strategic partnerships across the Middle East while creating new opportunities for American exporters.
He noted that the deal includes significant purchases of U.S. products and removes trade barriers affecting American workers and manufacturers. Greer also thanked Jordan for its commitment to promoting “fair, balanced, and reciprocal trade” with the United States, highlighting the two countries’ shared security challenges in the region.
The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative said the full text of the agreement, its tariff schedule, and a related fact sheet have been released.
