U.S. President Donald Trump threatened to carry out military action against the Colombian government, telling reporters that such an operation “looks good to me.”
Speaking to journalists aboard Air Force One on Sunday, Trump said, “Colombia is very sick as well, and it is run by a sick man who loves making cocaine and selling it to the United States—and that won’t continue for long,” in a clear reference to Colombian President Gustavo Petro.
When asked directly whether the United States would carry out a military operation against the country, Trump replied, “It looks good to me.”
These remarks came after the United States arrested Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro in a bold operation and transferred him to New York to face drug trafficking charges.
